Two Mason’s Root Beer ACL Bottles
Two old Mason’s Root Beer ACL (applied color label) bottles. They might look the same at first glance, but they are very different. Let’s play the game of “spot the differences.” Look closely. From back when there was good root beer to be found. Why is it that the worst root beer (Mug) is the one that seems to be everywhere, while the really good ones go out of business? If you’re interested in Mason’s, be sure to check out my Mason’s Old Fashioned Root Beer water-slide decal.

I’m not a fan of root beer, but I really like these bottles.
I have a clear Masons rootbeer bottle, can you tell me anything about it?
Do you mean clear with a color label? Or is the entire bottle clear? They used several different bottles. If you search on eBay for Masons Root Beer you will see many different styles of bottles. I didn’t see any that were completely clear. If that’s what you have, it’s probably a really old one. If it has the applied color label (ACL) then it’s much newer, probably 1950s.
I have an old Mason’s Root Beer wooden case, 17″ x 11″ x 4″, divided into 6 sections. Wondered if anyone is interested in purchasing it.
I bet you could sell that on eBay or Craigslist.org pretty easy. Root beer is pretty collectable right now and wood soda crates are always in demand. Ask at least $20.
Thanks for the information. I’ll give that a try.
an Old store has a sign painted on the Building, most of it is worn off but they were restoring it.Mason`s RootBeer…..funny they never finished it.
