TV Jazz Themes for Detective Shows

TV Jazz Themes, with the Video All-Stars conducted by Skip Martin. Somerset SF-8800, 1960? Has the fantastic Peter Gunn Theme, Richard Diamond, The Thin Man (TV version), and 77 Sunset Strip. AKA “crime jazz.” I just watched some Peter Gunn this weekend. It’s an OK detective show, his character isn’t developed much, but it has great music by Henry Mancini and a female singing number in each show. Also, my wife likes that he pretty much keeps the same girlfriend through the series instead of a new girl every week. One episode where he didn’t was pretty much a rip-off of Out of the Past. The other shows I’ve never seen, but the album is really good.
