The list's #1 IS NUMBER ONE,
AA's "Angels..." is a rendition that can never be topped.

As for the rest of the list, :-/
The Stevie Nicks tune (you mention under the U2 song description) is marvelous, and sorry but you're wrong, Christmas is NOT about Jesus.
The origins of this "celebration" are clearly portrayed in the Bible and loads of other litterature concerning amongst other things pagan worship (Osiris/Isis to name a few names).
Just do a search and it's there to find.
Here's a page on Facebook about some of it:
http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/group.php?gid=2214817204

Happy new year to all! :-)

Okay, I'm off to think about this. I tried not to see what you've chosen (or any of the other peeps) so that I can be uninfluenced, but I already see you chose "You're Mean One (Mr. Grinch)."

Pure awesomeness- some I've never heard of before as well- which is what I was hoping for - to find some new favorites.
Also- I have eternal shame for not including Thurl Ravencroft on my list- but then that's the problem with narrowing it down to an arbitrary number like 10.
