The university library building I work in was built in 1979, and the color scheme was almost outdated then I think. Finally, they are going to paint it, 31 years later. I took some photos of the current plate, knowing that it’s going to be beige, or putty, or some other exciting color. It’s a kind of cloth wallpaper so you can’t just slap a coat of paint on it I guess and that’s why it’s taken so long. That and we had the same Dean for 22 years. Anyway, the orange is pretty obvious (and overwhelming) but there is also yellow on the pillars and some of the walls. Any brown signs you see, know that they used to be orange with white lettering. Only the first floor will be done, so the red and blue carpeting and other interesting things will still be around on other floors. You can see a few other pictures at the end of my UFO review.

What a pity! Your work space looks great. They should go for a tasteful refurb, leaving some orange walls, along with the chairs and tables whilst replacing the desks, cabinets, shelves etc. One thing they should also definately keep is the wonderful ceiling. It reminds me of countless office scenes from 70′s movies. Alan J. Pakula comes to mind!!
