Mason Williams, The Mason Williams Phonograph Record. Warner Brothers WS 1729. 1968.

Best known for the instrumental “Classical Gas,” on which he plays both 6 and 12 string guitars, is included on this album. Mason Williams did both music and comedy. His work includes The Smothers Brothers and Saturday Night Live. However, I would think some album designer/namer got fired over this one. The Mason Williams Phonograph Record? That’s as original as they could get? What did they call the 8-track? And what a boring cover. The back side would have made a better cover. The Mason Williams Phonograph Record
