Les Paul of the Gibson Les Paul Guitar has Died
I was informed by Never To Late Guitar that Les Paul died at age 94. When he first approached a company about an electric guitar, he was turned down. Later, Gibson took him up on it, and he gets credit for basically inventing the solid-body electric guitar.
Les Paul had a number of hits with his wife Mary Ford in the 1940s and 1950s. He also invented multi-track recording. Quite a guy. Rest in Peace.
