Monthly Kodak Calendar of Events from Kodak Hawaii . A cool brochure from Kodak for photo ops all over Hawaii from May 30-June 27 of 1958. The last part of my Hawaii series. That front cover is sooo cool with the drawn guy taking a photo of real hula girl.

Wonderful. I’m surprised the brochure wasn’t printed in color since that’s what Kodak was pushing. Excuse me, I have to get ready for the Holuku Ball. I’m bringing my flash

Actually, now that you mention it, I’m surprised it wasn’t in color too! But, color printing was a lot more complicated and costly then.
Most brochures were one or two color back then for things like this. Since the content changed for this monthly it would have been prohibitive to do it in 4/c.
That said, the woman in the cover photo was most likely a member of the hula troupe that performed daily in Waikiki at the Kodak show. I’d like to think they still do it, but doubt it.
