Those Red Framed Battlestar Galactica cards were a promo item - they came in loaves of Wonder Bread. I drove everyone I knew crazy demanding they eat Wonder Bread and save me the cards, but I got the complete set! :)

KISS was never known for their musical ability, it was their show. At the time there weren't a lot of bands that were really out there. They put on a great show, I have seen them 3 times. They were one of the 1st bands to use pyrotechnics in their concerts.

Mrs*10, I love lively debate and mature disagreement, but that obviously is way above your abilities. KISS is a fair to middle group that lots of people like. But if you are using those songs as examples of how good they are, you've only proved my point. Creed is also a fair to middle group, I don't know enough about Limp Bizkit to make an informed opinion, but I do know how to spell their name.

Didn't like them or their stuff except for Beth. My only regret is that I didn't buy all the Mego figures when they came out for, like, $7 each. A complete set now sells for like, over $1,000.

I actually liked KISS. But to each his own. Thanks for posting these. I had never seen any of them before. Good luck at the conference.

The image certainly contributed to their success; but, there are hints of talent if you're willing to look. Some tracks on Unmasked, their solo albums, "Hard Luck Woman",... and the verdict is still out on the colossal failure, The Elder.

But I have to agree - if they'd have never gone with the make up, their name would blend with the likes of Thin Lizzy and Nazareth.
