It’s A Beautiful Day, Columbia CS-9768, 1969. Yes, the name of the band is It’s A Beautiful Day. I learned about It’s A Beautiful Day over at Wolfgang’s Vault back when you could listen for free. They were a San Francisco hippie band.
I found the album at a garage sale so I picked it up. The first time I was playing it the song “White Bird” came on and my wife (who usually has no idea what I’m doing musically) flipped out. You see, they used this song in Knight Rider once when David Hasselhoff runs into an old love and they sing it together or something. She grew up in the country so she really knows her TV shows, she didn’t have much else to do.
It’s an outstanding album that I would recommend to anyone.
