How ’bout a Pinup Calendar?
Or not. Above is the front cover of what appears to be a cheesecake pinup calendar from Frank Dial Tire Co., in Pampa, TX in 1946. But, below left is the inside… cooking tricks, household hints and a recipe. And Mrs. Wholesome there is as close to pinup as you get. I was shocked and appalled. So I’ll throw in a blurry cheesecake cover of a pocket-sized notepad from the Baroid Division of the National Lead Company.

Gotta love those old calenders, in the 70′s my grandad use to have one of provocatively posed girls in his garage hidden in the corner on the wall. Dont’ think my mother was too impressed.
Frank Dial is my grandfather. He passed away before I was born, and my father didn’t talk much about him, but I do know he was in the tire business with stores in both Pampa and Borger! Amazing! I’d like to buy it just want to make sure the link has me purchase this exact copy! Email and let me know!
Bob Dial, I sent an email. Did you get it? Contact my Dad at http://woodenheart.net/
