History of Classic Jazz, Riverside Records, SDP-11 5-album set. Also available separately as RLP 12-112 to RLP 12-116. 1956. Mine is in pretty horrible shape, but it has the book Introduction to Classic Jazz by Charles Edward Smith. In 1956 what was considered classic jazz is now beyond classic by our standards.
