Dance with the King’s Men, Royal Men of Music, Featuring Connie Lee! I don’t think this is the Kingsmen that did “Louie Louie,” and she’s not Connie Francis or Brenda Lee.
We were visiting my wife’s cousin over the Christmas break and he had three of these. “Those are cool,” says I, so he gave me the one in the worst shape. The other two had the date and place of the concert along the white space at the bottom. It was in Salina, KS, no year, just month and day. From her hairstyle I’d guess early ’60s, but it could be late ’50. It’s a good sized poster, almost two feet tall.
The only King’s Men I could find info on is a Gospel quartet. There’s a singer named Connie Lee Turner on myspace that looks to be about the right age and the photos could be her.

It seems like they rarely put the year on those kinds of posters. When I was going through my mom’s papers, I found several flyers for local county music shows that I assume she attended. They had the month and date, but unfortunately never a year.
Bunchie´s last [type] ..Hi Bob!
Well, they aren’t meant to be kept, so there’s no need for a year. It’s too bad.
