Country Gazette – Crazy Insane 1970s Hippie Country Music

One of the craziest album covers I’ve got, Country Gazette, A Traitor in Our Midst. United Artists UAS 596. 1972. “King Size Special!” “Twice as many notes! Twice as many thrills!” I don’t know who the woman is, but she looks like she’s having fun. That or she’s trying to overcome some deep wound or lack in her psyche. The Country Gazette released a lot of albums it seems, this was the first from a major label and they don’t seem too sure about how to take it. Some good titles they used on other albums include What a Way to Make a Living and All This, And Money, Too!

That’s a really cool cover. I love it. I don’t think I’ve ever heard any of their music though.
