Vintage White Man Afro – Old Year Book Pics

White Man Afro

I have permission from the person in the photo to post this. His daughter posted it on facebook and it was so fabulous, I had to ask if he’d let me put it on my blog. I didn’t get the year, but obviously 1970s.

U2poster from Rock Video magazine in the 1980s that has shots from various music videos: “Sunday, Bloody Sunday”; “Two Hearts Beat as One”; “Celebration”; and “New Year’s Day.” I could find no information about Rock Video other than a few cover shots and some quotes from interviews.

Also, I have a leather jacket just like Larry Mullen, Jr. here, complete with missing belt. And I had a shirt just The Edge!

How many of these cars can you name? 1936 is the earliest year I can ID here. I got all from 1946 up. My Grandmother sent me this when I was stationed in Germany.

Photos from The Beatles White Album

George Harrison White Album John Lennon White Album
Ringo Starr White Album Paul McCartney White Album

Now, if you download the album, do you get these cool pictures? No, of course not. I recently sold a bunch of albums. 1000 is just too many. I saw on craigslist.org that some guy wanted to buy albums, so I contacted him and he came over and bought about 80 albums and huge Beatles poster. I didn’t get a photo of poster (stupid me) but I did scan these photos and take a picture of the poster that came in the White Album. I didn’t bother with the cover of the album, it’s just white. And the way my camera works, it would be yellow. So, these are sold, but I wanted to post them. The other poster was huge. bigger than this one, but the same design I think: The Beatles Four Faces Pop Art Music Poster Print – 24×36

Here’s a Sincere Regards company birthday card that looks to be from the 1960s. Was never used, but my mother-in-law decided to write in it so we will always know where it came from.

BarryMcGuire2ndChapActs

Barry McGuire best known for his hit “Eve of Destruction” became a convert to Christianity and played Jesus Music. “And a band called ‘David’”. 2nd Chapter of Acts also Jesus Music, as you may have guessed. Concert at First Baptist Church, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Barry has a very interesting site, Trippin’ Through the Sixties. This was in my parent’s stuff.

I’m really digging this song! Some great guitar work on that Les Paul!
