Cave of The Winds 1950s Brochures

Cave of the Winds (1) (Large)
Cave of the Winds (2) (Large)

Cave of the Winds, Manitou Springs, Colorado. This is a tri-fold brochure so feel free to print it out on double sided paper kids! I’m guessing 1950s or 1960s. I like this little bit in the corner:

Postcards from The Cosmos Mystery Area Black Hills, South Dakota 1980?

Cosmo South Dakota (2)
Cosmo South Dakota (1)
Cosmo South Dakota (3)

Can anyone who is into details of fashion give me a year on this? I’m thinking 1980, but what do I know? I miss terrycloth shorts. This is one of those 6-post-cards-that-you-separate things of the Cosmos Mystery Area in Black Hills, SD that is still going.

History of the Cosmos

The Cosmos of the Black Hills was discovered in 1952 by 2 college boys looking for a place to build a summer cabin. When they entered this area they experienced a slight unbalance which increased considerably on entering the old house

Stray Cats Photo

StrayCats (Large)

Stray Cats black and white photo from the 1980s. Another one that I probably tore out of a magazine. I loved these guys and had all three albums.

1960s Batman Coloring Book

BatmanColoringBook (Large)

This Witman Batman coloring book (# 1002) was purchased at Service Merchandise for 39 cents. What a cool cover. After my kids finished coloring the book (I had colored in it some as a kid) I kept the cover and recycled the rest. I also have the back cover which is the same except for the price sticker. I really love Cat Woman’s car here. So why is this show not on DVD yet???

Phillips 66 Wichita, KS Map 1969

009 010 011

Phillips 66 street map of Wichita Kansas, 1969. From Randy’s Service Station also delt with U-Haul. 3155 South Broadway, Wichita, KS. It includes a list of all “66″ stations in Wichita. This map is a little different than most 1969 Phillips maps which show a more close up view of a station and many are in color. The “66″ in Phillips 66 stands for Route 66 which goes right through Bartlesville, OK, the home of Mr. Phillips.
